You are using the 64bit version? Why? You are running 32bit software most of the time. So no advantages there. The 64 bit version can work with 3+ Gb of memory but if you are running the 32bit one, only the business edition and ultimate edition will use 4 Gb.
I used it at my work and at home. I agree for most people it will do fine for surfing, downloading and e-mail. But if you want to do something extra, most of the time its a no go, because of performance troubles. And at work, that's also a pain in the ass. Management tools for our servers didn't work, they work now but still kinda crappy. I'm still running Windows XP because of my "slow" pc, and the lack of performance in Vista.
@Sheldon, divx films....... it think they rip out the good parts of your pr0n collection
as we speak working on it.
downloaded it form the MS site it self.
install was a very long sit, but still it is a ratatouille as usual.
no bad experience for now.
going to try the new feathered media center if drivers work
try the media player and internet explorer... thats the only two applications i found bugs on. update it and should work perfectly!!
99% of the time i'm not using IE, alsways FF so would have to give it a try.
