Wireless Internet?

Nothing to do with home internet but more if I am out on the road and wanting internet live if/when I need it using along with my laptop. I know there are hot spots throughout the UK but I may never be near them. I know that "3" offer this new dongle but have 3 diff price plans (£10 to £25 P.M) and I know I can also use my mobile as a modem through bluetooth connection on my laptop but Orange reckon thats going to cost £3 per GB (5p per page I view)

So is there anything else out on the market?

Hi

I am using "3" phone right now as a modem and it is really good but a bit pricey.

But my contract is 400 Min's and 250 texts for £35 and then to get the Internet on your phone it is an extra £5 for 3gb and all the sites i go on the Internet do not go over this limit.

Personally i say it is a good deal for me because like you i travel sometimes for work and stuff.

Hey Starbo you got any preferences? Most internet providers are for home packages only.

Also is the "3" package basic internet or is viewing and using the internet as if you were at home?

Im almost tempted to just use my phone as the modem but the £3 per gb or 5p per page viewing is putting me off due to the amount I would prob use it for.

that 5p per page doesn't sound right. that sounds like mobile internet ON your phone.

don't really know what packages are available in the uk but my dell latitude d420 came with an embedded hsdpa module and a battery in behind the battery. this gets me 3.6Mbps connection with 5GB for 24euro a month. This is a huge amount of traffic if you are just web browsing.

i would recommand '3'
