Hmmm some mixed revoews here then, if i do go for a look then i'll definaltey be triple checking everything!

That 1.5/1.3 glanza is appauling though, considering they think there a top import company. Surely if they are importing vehicles they should know what spec, engine size etc of the cars there importing.

I know if i'd just imported it or someone had traded it in and i read 1.5 in the log book alarm bells would start to ring!

The most astonishing car I've owned.

Perfect working order.

there second hand cars, they buy them by looking at pictures, god knows how many miles away there is always a risk of a few shitters coming through, but they have already bought them so they have to still sell them.

i agree that wrc sales do tend to have dodgy mot's as i bought my gt off them, and the rear pads didnt even last the 100 mile motorway journey to my gf's uni.

but they sorted that problem and all seems to be ok.

at the end of the day, they sell there cars to people working.

it's really down to the buyer to notice such things like oil pipes being blocked up with screws.

as for the guy with the abs not working, that was out of order of the company to do that.

its expected for there to be a few shit cars but it was the way that they dealt with it, informing myself the car was a 1.3 i was lieing it was a mistake im not getting my money back and such then when we took the car back we had to wait a hour and a half for them to get there mechanic out to prove it was a 1.3 who came and knew nothing about the engine in the car either laughed when we said it was a 1.5 and his official decision was based on looking under the bonnet of another glanza..

they may have good and bad cars but the people there i would not deal with again.

you didnt notice it was a 5e either when you bought it.

i can understand why there was confusion, as the blocks look identical, anless you get a tape measure to measure the block, or look at the engine codes, but on first glance it's easily missed.

i dont think wrc sales are knowledgable about any of there cars, they just see what others sell for and price accordingly.

I bought my GT from there last August and Ive been relatively pleased with it to be fair. However when I was driving back down to Brum after picking it up, the clutch began to slip! I emailed and rang them to rectify this and they said they couldn't possibly replace the clutch as I could have been thrashing it apparently! They suggested I drove back to Bradford to use their mechanic at a discounted rate which still wasnt cheap, so I ended up forking out for an Exedy organic one instead.

Before you ask, I did test drive the car but I didnt really get the chance to push higher revs in 3rd as they literally allow you to go 'round the block'!

ye honestly mate it was my first import previously i owned a vauxhall id basicly just seen what the engine should look like it looked alright was only later that i realised id made a bad move.. only started learning the inside and out of my engine now from stripping bits on and off all the time grrr...

but wrc are dodgy imho first guy i spoke to claimed to be the manager than i spoke with another guy who said he was the main manager then when i finatly got my money back another lad turned up who was the manager..

but gotta learn from your mistakes and i have, and aswell as that i bought the car for under 4k and they have actualy increased the price even though they know of all the problems, no idea if they have fixed the issue's with it but i really do hope so as car is stunning in person

Hate to flog an old thread but I just bought a 98 black glanza from wrc car sales bradford an it is lovely. If you go on the site its still there, I even managed to knock the price down a bit.

The only bad thing was that the drivers seatbelt was missing??!! I just got a 2nd hand starlet one 2day.

I had heard mixed reviews so i decided to travel down from aberdeen. Six and half hour drive but well worth it.

They had 6 glanzas when i went down. The two white ones on the site are in amazing condition by the way. To be honest I didnt see a car that didnt look nice or that I would not drive.

The interior is like brand new and the car is amazing to drive

very happy!!:gt-smilie:

I have been reading all your comments both positive and negative. Obviously I have not dealt with them as I am across the channel!:) HOWEVER, my humble opinion is that surely theres a better import company then them around? I mean to sell a 5E glanza as a 4E is completely unacceptable! Alot of the problems seem to be related to the cars coming in and not being checked over by the company?!!!
The garage where I got my car is my uncles so I am slightly biased here, but trust me when I say he treats all customers the same. As for imports which he has been doing for over 10 years now, he has not once, NOT ONCE EVER had a customer come back witha complaint. Simply because when the cars come in from japland they are thourhly checked over before they are put up for sale. When my GT came in, it was in the garage for 3 days before it was released to me.
Also, when my uncle started importing in the first place he went to Japan with my 3 cousins and made contacts over there. When hes bidding on cars his contacts have a look at them before the bidding starts to ensure they are "as described". After the bidding is finished and the car is bought the contacts then inventorise everything on the car before the car leaves Japan to make sure it arrives in Ireland in one piece ( if something is missing there is evidence from the auction sheet and the inventory sheets with which to chase up the shipping companys for the missing parts...but thats a different stry!)
I really woulden't touch this place with a forty foot pole! Sounds really disorganised and also sounds like the owners have a serious lack of knowledge about cars in general!

My car is from wrc and it is a minter, however It seems they are a bit dodgy with the MOT!!

My car was missing a seatbelt receiver in the drivers seat and it still passed its MOT, what the fuck?!!

On the MOT certificate next to seatbelts it said N/A aswell!

But on the upside its one of the cleanest, best driven cars I'v ever owned. Would use them again, but just give each car a look over guys.

This is for wrc car sales bradford NOT the keighley branch which shouldnt be touched with a barge pole.

yeah i admit, your car is/was awsome sigma.

well worth the money imo.

GT_irl - it's a bit harsh to comment when you have never dealt with them personally.

lol at Toby, but why fuck around with someone you dont know (or heard 50/50 bad rep about) when you can get great starlets from our traders, who know the cars.

Its one thing to buy a car that looks nice but as most people will tell you it what condition its in underneath the bonnet etc, the problem is often things that are fucked that you cant see!

I know I would only buy from a trader again for a Glanza/GT or any other jap car ;) Good prices and proper advice/servicing etc...

Yes, your car is very nice. You had a good experience.

This does not rule out the fact that others have not.

I wasnt trying to put that message over dude, and I completely absorb your point.

What I was attempting to show, is that WRC can, sell good cars. :)

Thats bad service tho, anyone could sell a good car, but its takes a little better service and trust/honesty to always ensure that ALL cars are good/safe/mechanically sound - what kind of business would let shit cars off their forecourt?

I've had similar experience with other garages and wouldnt piss on them if they were on fire, their attitude/service sucked and parts of the car were fucked that they wouldnt admit or attempt to fix, sure they had nice cars in there but the one I bought was fucked, and I had to buy new parts etc to fix to make it sound, and this car was for my girlfriend.

You wouldnt sell a half eaten doughnut or a tv with no plug.

I admit I like some of their cars, the Altezzas look good, but with this much uncertainty theres no way I would consider buying from them.

I'll go local lol for the next one...
