I'm facing a weird problem with my Xenon kits on my `99 Glanza V. Please have a look below.
3 years ago, I installed a HID kit for headlights. I replaced my 55W H4 bulbs, with this 35W H4 6000K Bi-Xenon kit. Since then I had 0 problems with it. It worked flawlessly and I'm really happy with it.
About a month ago, I decided to replace my 35W H3C halogen bulbs, with a 55W H3 3000K HID kit. Everything seemed fine. They worked great in the first place. But some hours later, one of the H3 bulbs burnt!
I thought that this was just an issue with a faulty bulb. So I just replaced it with a new one. It's been over a month now they are still work fine.
But about a week later, one of my H4 BiXenon headlights switched off for no reason, while driving around. At that moment I had switched on both headlights and foglights as I remember! I removed the bulb and did some troubleshooting, to check whether the problem is with the ballast or bulb, and found that the problem was with the bulb indeed. The bulb switches on, and some seconds later it turns off
The problematic bulb's center, is much darker than the working one. Have a look at the photo below...
My turbo timer shows that the battery's voltage is reasonably stable. Around 12V when car is switched off, and 13.5-14.4V when on, depending on the load.
I can't figure out what can be wrong. Was it just a couple of random events? Or shall I consider that there is something wrong? I've ordered now a pair of H4 BiXenon replacement bulbs, but I'm a bit worried. I don't want to have any more burnt bulbs!
