I watched this last night and tbh what aload of crap, im not a mechanic and i was sitting there shouting at the TV what to do they where stupid tbh considering there mechanics im glad i know how to repair my car myself lol!!!

i saw the last half of it and it was a load of crap. the lad that won was ok, but i wouldnt want any of the other cowboys to go anywhere near my car.

i know i seen it to. how can they judge u young mechanic of the year in 1day wiring a switch and crap and as for tuning :haha::haha:

The lad that finished 3rd is a mate of mine, my ex mrs cousin and hes actually quite good mechanic. Havnt had a chance to see him lately so havnt asked him about it but yeah he didnt really do him self justice on that programme

They call them challenges??
Was hardly mechanical and the faults they gave the car were stupid.
Was still a laugh to watch though:haha:

I can't believe there such crap challenges considering it for the mechanic of the year award.

I was almost going spastic at this programme, bunch of spackers!!!
leaving a live wire just on top of the fuel tank, GENIUS!!!!!!!
I really was suprised at how silly it was, I thought it woulda been a little bit more complex than that.
Young monkey of the year........

I think it was lame, i was expecting engine rebuild ect, not how stick a mucky halfords air filter.
I prefer the show "The Garage" learnt alot of stuff from that!

there is a programme on over here at weekends where they get 4 trainee mechanics from 2 schools and give them 5 grand to spend on engine mods.

They build the same engine up from scratch and then at the end of the show they connect it up to an engine dyno and whoever gets the highest figures wins. Its interesting to see the different approaches they take. Some go mad for cleaning up the head some whack aload of advance on the timing ... its interesting to see the results they get.

Ive seen a load of other shows like that too so have a search on googlevideo and see what you come up with. the one above is the last one I watched.

Love when they let them loose on the dyno :) Gotta love big displacement N/A rumble!
