I've attached a pic of a disconnected dash cluster Chris.

With the ignition off the rev counter, speedo and temp gauge will sit in those positions. The fuel gauge is anybody's guess.

Use a fork to lever the needles off gently and reset them best you can.

Just thinking back to the EP82 fuel needle...if you push the needle down the mechanism should bottom out at zero. Set the needle to zero as well. Then when you restart the car it should readjust itself. Worth a shot yes?

You'll know soon enough - best keep a tank of fuel in the boot till you test it.

Tried this jay but the needle doesnt bottom out jus keeps goin, and the fuel gauge always shows how much fuel you have so wen i turn the ignition on it doest readjust,im baffled there must be a way

My needle sits bang on the top mark when full.

Think the light comes on just below the quarter mark.
