View Full Version : Won my bracket class at halfar :) against a GT

This weekend ther was the roadlegal cars quarter mile and as the aygo decided to leave me stranded when it broke the cv joint yesterday i entered with my girlfriend's Hyundai coupe (with plenty of clutch slip and engine smoking heavily):p and Surprise I won my bracket which was from 16 - 16.5sec. Surprise No. 2 final was against a starlet Gt :p.

The final was best out of 3 so after the first run i did 16.3sec (with 60ft of 2.6secs with clutch slip ) and he ran 15.981secs so he was out of the bracket .

so thats 1 - 0 to me

2nd final I smoked him off the line with a still shit 60ft of 2.4secs which with the ammount of clutch slip and heavyweight of car was impressing (let alone the smoke from the exhaust ;) ) and i did a 16.12secs with a reaction time of 0.234 secs. The Gt did a 16.083secs but with a reaction time of 0.549 secs he couldnt beat me to the line . So i was the winner in that bracket :rockon:

the whole bracket crap is a joke. if your car runs high anything you cant win lol

11.9 sucks compared to a 12.1 lol

well its a different type of competition than just trash the car to see what time it does. and you have to play by the rukes

Well thae Gt that was running in my same bracket was doing sixteen secs and just that once went under the 16sec and he was running 10psi boost and didnt report any problems with his car opposed to the one i was racing . And i beat him to the line thats the whole point :p

thats what i told the guy and on a straight line it was slightly faster than the coupe but either he had a lot of wheelspin but still my aygo with 10psi and shit tyres and stock engine did 14.5!

Thanks mate i would prefered racing the aygo but it didnt make it to the line :mad: fucken cv's so i had to race with something :p i had 2 choices my scooter or my gf's coupe so i took that over the scooter even tough i didnt think it will make it with the ammount of clutch slip :) and its heavy like a blue whale !

haha the guys was very happy doing 16's.... never seen a gt doing 16s even standard! i lost all the videos i took :( would have been nice to upload to youtube and show them the coupe with a cloud of smoke after it :P

yeah but it still beat the gt smoke or no smoke , and probably that was me smoking him off the line :p

wait till i put a turbo on the coupe then you will see the smoke :rockon:
