lads i'm after getting levin 5 speed box(fmom 4A series) changed bell housing and fited to my 4E engine, the problem i have theres no holes for bolts for the gearbox mount(one on the right if you look from the front of the car) levin box has a holes on the top of it for that mount but levin one wont fit as its closer to the firewall compared to starlet, so i wondering will ae92 gti corola bracket fit as their shell comes ir 4e and 4a engines?
its the bracket to get gearbox mount to join up with gearbox

hey gedis...from my memory.....u will need to use the entire 4e bell housing to fit/transfer the levin internals
that's how its generally done
i dont think the ae92 bracket will work for what u plan to do----but i can check this on a friend's car....IF i can find him....lol

hey gedis...that's what i'm refferring to when i say u have to use the ENTIRE 4e bell housing---i mean the entire 4e 5 speed gearbox shell.....i hope were are on the same wave length here:)
apart from that i think i've seen a tread somewhere were some1 drilled and tapped the 3 holes into the centre section to get the box to work....but that in itself sounds like a bit of work.....

is there any car comes with that sort of bracket? or making one be good enough for highly modified engine?
or just horse the gearbox back out

i dont know of any toyota that would have this "combination" bracket--ae/ep hybrid bracket
i guess u could fabricate a bracket...but then that would take some time and effort
so i think your best and fastest bet is to take back off the gearbox,,,change over to the entire 4e gearbox housing......and reassemble
yeah, i know we hate that little bracket in the gearbox that gives so much trouble to keep in place----the one with the 2 bolts (i think 10mm or 12mm)...lol,,,,,,,,but after some swearing, u will be good:)
