I think i have major boost creep my car boosts all the way too 1.2 bar even though i have the actuator the longest possible, i have taped up 90% of my filter and running efi pipe, and i have my ebc set too lowest it can go and it still boosts to 1.2 bar the only way i can stop it is if i take the pin out of the actuator so im not using an actuator and it runs at 0.6bar. I have read countless threads but still unsure how to solve it. Cheers Craig

What are your engine mods?

Ive got the same problem mate, im guessing you have FCD then?

Downpipe a decat bud?

ive got toms tecs ecu, toms air filter, ported mani, de cat, custom exhaust system, hks actuator, greddy boost controller. What about you?

I have BIG twin cone steel mesh air filter, blitz decat, full s/s zorst, hks actuator, bov, catch can. Boost set t 0.7 bar, but creeping to Fuel Cut

did you try puting standard air box instead of the open filter

just thought of an idea, maybe try meshing the end of the efi pipe and running a filter over that too.

other than that you need to look into porting the wastegate and/or introducing restrictions to the exhaust system.

mesh it with what?

mesh! :p

something like a fine wire mesh, trying to find a pic to show you what i mean, it may not even work, just popped into my head.

or, wrap the airfilter up in something like foam etc, anything to make it harder to breath through.

ok cheers seen that picture before in one of the many threads ive read lol. Think im going to port the wastegate if i cant sort it any other way.

ive got the same problem right now.. im creeping up to fuel cut. is it maybe due to the 2.8 size piping?

mods on the engine
uprated actuator
manual boost control
HKS filter
emanage blue
bov
down pipe and exhuast of 2.8 = could this be the reason why im creeping? if so what could i do about this?

lol remember when I first saw yours like that Ian, at trafford centre I think - worked well tho :D

Have youchecked the vac pipes betweenthe turbo/actuator/ ebc for leaks and blockages?

aye it was very effective, and the car still made 169bhp @ 1 bar

removed all the induction noise though, so the car sounded NA

why would you have a turbo on a car and block the air going to it? There must be obvious reasons why someone get boostcreep like downpipe and exhaust too wide (i have 2.25") I dont have aircleaner ,have HKS actuator and run 12psi of boost and never had boostcreep so why some cars get boostcreep should be either one of the things not working properly or exhaust too big.

you'd think that, but in my case my exhaust was 2" as it was the stock system going into an NA backbox. what probably caused boostcreep on mine was the short intake tract.

also, bear in mind boostcreep is more pronounced in cold weather, you don't have it as cold as we do ;)

its probably a vacuum hose has a hole or leaking somewhere or your actuator could be fubar'd! or wastegate problems maybe?

check if it creeps on a very cold night... normaly it would creep a psi or mostly 2 but in the UK its fuckin cold and that aint helping them in boost creep for sure!
