Hey people,

Ok, so I order one of these bad boys: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Toyota-MR2-Celica-Double-Din-Pocket-Cup-Holder-Starlet_W0QQitemZ330335012256QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK _CarsParts_Vehicles_FasciaPlates_SM?hash=item4ce98 045a0&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A12%7C66%3A2%7C39%3A1%7C72%3A1683%7C 240%3A1318%7C301%3A1%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50 to replace my single din stash tray thing below my stereo.

I thought that the tray that's in there at the moment would just come out with a bit of force... after I pretty much tore the thing apart, I found that there's two bloody screw holding it in from the sides which is attaching to some kind of bracket which I think is also holding my stereo in.

Is there any easy way to remove all the centre console around it so I can get to the sides so I can screw my new thing into place.

Do I have to removed the glove box etc.. as well?

Any help is much appreciated.

Cheers,

Lewis

remove the blower controls with a knife, remove the 2 screws behind there, pull the big surround off from the bottom, disconnect the plugs for the hazards hi/low etc you will then be able to see the bolts for the cage.

there is a thread on this somewhere

Whats the blower controls? Is that the bit where you can control the heat & fan speed? Does that whole unit come out as one?

Are the plugs behind the surround & attached to the switch's yeah?

Thanks for your reply mate.

Hope someone can dig out the thread as i have no idea what to search for lol.
