We tried making this out of a carb sock but as soon as it boosts it just drops off, must be restricting it.

you can see its really close to the power steering pump and the hoses to it so its a squeeze..

i'd get a bit of wire reinforce flexi hose to replace the p/s hose, the cable tie it so that it bends straight away, that will help with fitting a filter hose.

i'd also cut part of the slam panel out,the part where the bracket is now.

or you could put a filter straight on the comp housing? if you fit the flexi hose on the p/s you should be able to get one on there?

that's the only ideas i have.

cool thanks mate, i had thought about changing the fitting for the ps pump. im not sure how keen he would be about cutting the slam panel. i dont think a filter would go straight onto it not enough room.

not sure how much room is there hard to tell by the pics but would a hks filter not bolt straight onto it?? just thinking the shapes a bit slimmer.

do you mean straight onto the turbo?
if so no not a chance the power steering pump is in the way. i had thought of using some of that ducting like whats on hoovers and sticking a long cone filter behind the grill.

or use another 90' added ato the one in the pic (if there is room) then a long cone filter
