is it normal for turbo to whistle.. i have panel filter aswell.. runnin ok jus never bothered askin if whistling was normal??

Why not? I've had a meshed intake for the best part of 9 months. Just keep an eye on it if it's aluminium bodyfiller mesh, it tends to wear through after some time. :eek:
Compressor stall is mental though. It's a bit too loud, so I've opted to fit an air filter. I need to sort that out too, it's a bit of a potch job.:p
Oh right will have to try it then!, epecially considering the price of a TD04

I'd be tempted to source some stainless steel mesh in that case, a TD04 sucks a shitload more than a CT9, so the stainless mesh will be able to stand up to it more. :homer:

cant beat the sausage splasher mesh 74p from asda or tesco's :D
we just put ours back on miss the sound of the wastegate soooooo loud with the mesh on! make pedestrians duck lol (there way too use to the sound of bovs)
my turbo whilstle's when its starting spooling at 0psi

i should have bought aload of them and sold it as "special turbo mesh"
seriously tho the mesh is very very fine ! and strong!

easy peasy! you have to bend it some and get the jubilee in place ready over the mesh and then tighten over the inlet.

just for the small print cut the mesh away from the metal rim and handle first tho :D

my first attemp of mesh was too thin and it was restricting the turbo, thinking im going to have to sign a sausage splasher after work hahahah

Think he means the gaps in the mesh were too thin not the thickness of the wire
