Right guys engine is rebuilt fully forged internals etc.. had a 1.2mm athena HG on there and it decided it didnt wanna play ball n leaked oil into cylinder 1 and out the engine so i whipped the head of n put a standard gasket on...now i really dont wanna have to strip it down again so i was wondering how much boost could you comfortably run on a standard HG? ive got a td04 waiting to go on but wanna be sure what boost can be run before i go ahead with it.... any help will be great! cheers lads!...oh an lases lol

eric the jamaicans run two headgaskets i believe altho yes there stock.
all it means george is the tuner has to be safer, with ignition and fuelling.
forget what boost u can run, you only know once its being mapped.
the standard HG is prone to failing with slight det, but if safe tune is should hold up fine.

should have rang me dude, got a TRD HG sitting here brand spankers.

gd luck with getting her back dude, i should be out some time in may..

the nominal safe value for the oem hg is around 20 ~ 21 psi.. iv seen more iv seen less but that is the most comfortable figure it seems. i ran that amount of boost on a stock hg for over 2 years back in the day.
