thought id start using this instead of just reading

names steve from northern ireland
on my second glanza now had old fords up until last year and bought my first
glanza 97 in white thenn loved it so much sold up and bought a 98 facelift which is immaculate tein coilovers all round blitz front mount blitz nur spec

but last week nicely put a nice hole in my block
but you learn but only ran 0.5 bar so makes little sense

joined up basically because heard of jay from nearly every starlet owner i know worships him

360 mile round trip to the south today got an engine and a lot of shiny bits for very little money so
New belts plugs filters clutch while I'm at this extent
And 6 hours tonight and il have her back after 2 weeks
Of a 1.4 focus nightmare is over

Get some photos up if possible of ur progress.

Bad news , pervious owner cracked the far right exhaust stud
And wrecked the port and isoponed it in so taking engine
Back down which is a major pain in the arse
Any idea on engines fellas I'm in patient as you've already worked out
Il get pics up tonight when I'm home

Common weak spot on the later 4EFTE cylinder heads mate, seen that happen on quite a few Glanza engines. If you know the bottom end is okay you could always pop a fresh cylinder head on it. Least you could do the head gasket and valve stem oil seals whilst you are getting the head checked.
