bonnet catch problems

bought an ep91 that came with a carbon fibre bonnet with bonnet pins and its been raised up as well.

the problem is it doesnt securely close and needs to be held down by the bonnet pins, this means anyone can open my bonnet. which cant be good but the safety latch still catches so ive got that going for me.

anyone else have this problem or know of a solution?

ive thought of putting extra washers on the latch (which is bolted to the bonnet) to lower it down or take out extra nuts that the previous owner used to raise the bonnet.

better yet, anyone in belfast want to swap bonnets, perferably a white one haha

I have solved this one with a Sera bonnet but don't have all the details. I remember it was a Toyota bonnet from a 5_ something model ute it exactly matchs the bonnet catch shape except the height has been adjusted because it is a face fixed version of the standard hook. This means you can screw it onto a carbon bonnet and it will work perfectly with the stock catch. My bonnet had bolts imbedded I found the hook at the wreckers everything lined up as standard and many months searching became a 2 min job.

thanks, going to see if the latch currently on the bonnet even fits the catch then ill go from there.
