Welcome aboard Antoin,

Sounds like quite the pocket rocket you are building - the lighter P7 should be great fun with a 4EFTE!

SLD is only required if you find the Japanese 113mph restriction an issue.

Personally I prefer the JAM FCC over the HKS FCD, the JAM operates as normal then clamps the signal just before fuelcut. So long as the fuel is there to support the boost beyond that it's fine. The HKS reduces the signal through the whole rev range so can be quite crude in regards to idle and light cruise AFR's. Hope that makes sense.

Cheers,

Jay

No worries buddy,

The speed limiter can be bypassed in three ways, fit a HKS SLD, fit a MPH speedo convertor or fit a Japanese remapped ECU.

Depending on how you are doing the transplant you may not even see the restriction if you are retaining your current instrument cluster.

The JAM FCC isn't made any more but used examples should crop up on eBay, Facebook and forum classifieds. I've seen a few unused ones surface in the Jap auctions but these aren't just as accessible as the other places. Expect to pay around £40/50 gbp for a used one.
