hi
i need to change my tps coz its messinng about sometimes...
when an an full throttle it says 4.9volts and when i remove my foot on the pedal it still says 4.9vollts instead of 0 volts...its intermitent coz sometimes it works perfectly.....
its annoying and dangerous coz it affect the reading on my emu as it reads only the 1st and last line of my maps...:(
do i have to remove the intake mani to change it?
do i need to re calibrate it or its just plug and play...?
any more advice will be great ...thks:)
already had a look at this

well i get 0% for almost all the pedal, then at the bottom i get from 0~100% in less than 1cm.. i know my tps is calibrated perfectly, so im not sure if its how the stock tps is read or if mine is fucked lol..

as u know yours should be 5v (more or less) with closed throttle & 0v with WOT.. thats why we select "reverse" on the throttle option on the emu software.

its best to remove the throttle body to work on the tps, makes the job easier & much simpler to calibrate.. no need to remove the whole intake mani, just the tb.

yes u do need to recalibrate it. im looking into seeing if the emu reads the auto tps, as it would be interesting to use.. but im not sure if it will work.

the auto tps is variable.. ie it works in a multi-point system.. the stock glanza & gt tps is either open or closed.. even though the glanza one is slightly more variable..

is there any difference between ep 82 and ep 91 TPS?

yes. there are 4 part numbers for the tps used on 4e-fte starlets..

ep82 early edition
ep82 quad
ep91
ep91 auto

not sure which tps the auto ep82 used.. however i think it varies according to the year.. the ep82's which came out late 95 have a ep91 tps..

hey buddy dont worry its esxactly what i said buddy :)

maybe i explained it wrongly, but thats exactly what i meant.

btw remove the manual tick boxes for the glanza.. those are only used when setting them on a gt to trick launch control into working ;)
