the lines are there to help dissipate heat by channeling air across it

if you ever see a lawnmower engine with the fins on the head its to dissipate heat faster or heat sink on a cpu

now in fairness the ones on the head are pretty small so im not sure if it will make much of a difference

but they are there and i would say for a reason

it will make hardly any difference the only time you would not remove fins from something like this would be on something that is air cooled ie, a air cooled bike or aircooled vw.check out franza1's members garage he has done it on his and i believe he has had no issues with it as yet

no the butter was used as a filler base to fill in and smooth lol i cant see somone sanding down the lines till flush would take for ever

i did this myself mate no filler used at all and yes i was making toast lol

if you look closely you can still see the lines :)
you are seeing things if you can still see line dude as they dont exist ive got another lying around somewhere ill do it again and write up a tutorial for you if youd like:teach:
