Hi All

I'm using a custom intake manifold with 4 pin automatic tps.
I'm trying to wire the 4 pin tps into my 3 pin tps wires. Also using stock ecu green sticker.

can you help?

as far as im aware it wont work mate. from what ive read the 4 pin auto tps is variable whereas the 3 pin one is a 2 position switch.

the manual ecu wont recognise the signal. can you not just fit the stock 3 pin tps, its the same fitment!?

If you are using the 4pin TPS from the 4efte or 5efhe then here is a diagram that you can use to get it working with your stock ecu if you need to ever return to the stock ecu without having to remove your throttle body or TPS

No it's not ideal and tbh I couldn't be sure if it will actually work at all without trying it.

Seems odd to be using a custom intake manifold with a stock ECU?

This should be the layout when looking at the TPS with the sticker facing you.

old i know. but im trying to make this work, give a signal output to the stock ecu like the 3 pin TPS type and sending a variable signal from the 4 pin TPS to the EMU.

any more info anyone?

After looking a bit on the ECU pinouts supplied with the EMU manual.

the same wireing is used on the ep91 MT ecu and EP82 AUTO ecu (1995)

as we know, ep91 and ep82auto'95 ecus are 3 plug type.

BUT on the ep91 pinout there is a small *1 near TH meaning only on Manual ECU.

but then again why its the same on the ep82 euto one???

anyone tried this diagram?

cos it might work perfectly fine...

anyone has an ep82 1995 auto wireing diagram!? that would be very helpfull, meanwhile i will test the diagram above (when i have some spare time that is!!!)
