temperture gauge?

my standard temp gauge has been havein little monets where it goes wild up an down, would this be as its broken or a loose connection? an how do you get too the connection for this?

As above thermostat if its also not blowin enough hot air might be stayin open, whilst drivin then the needle will also be playin funny,the wire connection could also be dodgy,its normaly a spade connector and sum have nut that needs nippin up.

any ideas wherebouts they are mate so i know where too look?

Doesn't sound like thermostat to to me, sounds like one of the spade connectors on the thermo housing is loose
