when irev it slightly from cold it make a terrbile noise, sounds fine on idle tho, as soon as i give it a quick rev (like in the video) is sounds awful, if i slowly increase the revs (obviously not to much as its cold) is sounds fine.
once its been running about a minute its just as normal no odd noises just fine :)

lol it pretty fucked up ey? i went to a garage on the way home n sed i cud be the water pump, its definatly coming from the back on the engine bay.

i was worried it was one of the cams not getting enough oil in start up but he sed no i wud no about it if it was that lol

check yourself mate.. the waterpump pully is located under the left engine mount... just see if its stopping as its reving with the noise

ok ill have a look once shes cooled down, do u think it sounds particularly serious or just a belt or something loose etc?

its not engine related anyway mate.. if its waterpump its a tricky enough job but can be done.. just hard enough to get 2.. if its not the waterpump just check the tension on the belts but does aound like the pully is ceasing

i just went and looked im sure its not the water pumo it sounds a bit like its coming from the exhuast :/ and the front of the engine bay on further inspection, i do have a new exhaust manifold coming very shortly, and that would explain why it goes when its hot

oh right :/ well surely the crack would close up and it get hotter? could the turbo be making that noise?

no mate.. it will get bigger as it gets hot (expand)... just check all belts man and if you cant source anything there think about the turbo...

i disagree about the cracking situation sorry im not geting shitty but if metal expands its gets bigger right? so it will expand and the crack will get smaller... when it cools down it contracts and the crack opens up more

exactly, the crack will close up as it warms up. so check the manifold.
