4efte and 4efe lambda sensors are different.

My oem lambda was seized in my cat so when i went decat i ran it without for a while and it ran the same. Have an aftermarket one from ebay now and its no different to be honest.

Mine has been disconnected since I got it 2.5 years ago and I never noticed anything out off the ordinary, odd bit off overfueling but the ECU tends to run a bit rich anyway as per normal turbo Toyota rules :)

Mines the same, noticed it mainly since the decat was fitted where it will just randomly pop lol

You can check it with a dvom. Back prob the wires, ground and a hot. If it's a narrow band it should try and stay at 1 volt DC but it can't so if working properly , it will fluctuate rapidly as the ecu tries to maintain a stoichiometric, AFR at idle and part throttle ie 14.7 which is equal to one volt dc on a narrow band. But it can't so if is working it will move rapidly between less than one volt and slight more as the ECU cuts or adds fuel.

A narrow band only works at idle and part throttle, at full throttle the ECU (Stock) does not care. And the last bit is why you can't tune WOT, with a narrow band. You need a WB for that and those read to 5 volts DC with a DVOM, full range as it were. A faulty functioning O2 ... tends to fail "rich" hence a "popping sound" ie burnt fuel, igniting. And if the car is running rich at idle and part throttle?? You get worst fuel mileage ,more emissions and raw un-burnt igniting in the cat will destroy it!

But if you don't care about mileage and don't have to pass smog ... then you know , whatever. :)
