Hello, newbie here. Bought an Ep82 gt a couple of days back. Anyone care to elaborate on the above matter ? Thank you very much!

Welcome to the site mate :)

RPM will depend on shift speed but it should drop off - if it's going up that would indicate an issue.

What's got you worried?

Hi bud,

nothings wrong with it, it works completely alright, I just wanna know what’s the most suitable rpm to shift into the next gear.
My friends are saying different things relating to their vehicles and i know every engine is different. So was just lookin for some insight.

something i can chime in on.
Heavily Assuming your gearbox is in good condition and the shift bushings are also atleast half decent.

Rev match, Or dont, you can shift how you like. Slow or fast it does not really matter.

just remember if you shift it like a honda, slamming it at high rpm, the consequences will not be far behind

Whatever way you choose to drive it(like a cunt or a christian)just be sure to warm it up and let it cool down :) from cold I always gave mine a few minutes then a few minutes on the turbo timer to cool down

This i make sure, I still haven’t got a turbo timer fixed so I let it warm up a bit and let it run for like 1-2 minutes before turning the ignition off.

It'll depend on individual driving style but usually good to avoid straining the engine on older turbocharged vehicles. Because of the power delivery on a 4efte you don't really need to redline it anyway to get the most out of it.
