Hi, I am from Canada and own a Toyota Tercel with a 1998 Glanza V engine in it. I also have the Glanza V gauge cluster installed, so the readings really correspond to the engine signals. Since I had the engine installed (since March), the rev limit of the engine (controlled by the stock ECU) was 7200 rpm. Perhaps, since a couple of days, it has gone to 7600 rpm. It just moved to 7600 without any signs, like if I had passed a point where the computer unlocked a couple rpms... Strange
I would like to know where is yours, Glanza V owners, and could it be harmful to shift at 7500 rpm often on the 4E-FTE. I know that one problem is the valve pushing discs get spat at very high rpm, but I need to know if 7600 rpm is enough to do that and kill my engine, or is it in the 8000 rpm bracket?
Thanks in advance,
Martin
