As per PM Aidan, pop a healthy battery in and run your diagnostics just in case. The kind offer from Johnny will cover a dodgey starter so hopefully we'll get you sorted soon.

no!:homer:
i found a starter at my friends house and replaced it..and it clicked,it was out of a 92gt..it could be dodgy too?
i tried pluging the inner loom too jay with the matching loom and it made it worse than if i just left the engine loom in with my normal inner loom?
so i dont know what to do?i'l have one more go tommorow and if it wont work i'l have to cart it away somewhere:(

Hang on.

When you say you have replaced the engine loom did you replace the whole engine loom (not just unplugged it from the fusebox). You will need to replace the whole engine loom (including the fusebox) from what I understand.

and ive just matched it up with the inner loom now and just still clicks..

so,the bare engine loom from you jay has seemed to have worked..but the clicking must be the starter or a dodgy earth..mmmmm:homer:

Right, now that she is turning over it's back to basics buddy:

Is she getting fuel?

Is she getting a spark?

Are you getting any fault codes?

i know the fuel is getting to the rail anyway...

ive checked for spark at one of the leads, there wasnt much?should i be able to see it jumping clearly?

the engine light will stay on when the ignitoin is turned,it wont go off..im getting no fault codes either,it just keeps flashing...that could be cause the speedo isnt connected and what not..??

Distributor, ignitor, coilpack, etc should all give a fault code.

The constant flashing you are getting signals no faults.

I do love a challenge..

It still sounds like something simple. I need to dwell on this one a little longer mate.

jay im using just the engine loom now..i figured it was doing the same with all the matching loom,so i put it back the way it was..cause there was looms everywhere!!lol

yeah theres deffinatly spark to the plugs, and when i take out the plugs they have petrol on them!

i'll let you dwell away!:p

Any chance you could have flooded those plugs mate?

I had this with an RX7 (overfuels like fcuk) and had to get fresh plugs before it would start.

i took out the ones that were in it and they were very bad(they were new but a bit fecked)i had to get a wire brush at them, but i replaced them with new ones and still no joy!

Points to the ignition system. That's encouraging.

Igniter, coil, distributor and all their associated wiring. Because you have changed the wiring that would make me think you got a duff component in the loop but then again I could be wrong.

Also check that your TPS is setup and reading correctly. That could have a bearing on the code too from what I remember.

The TPS can also make it hard to start if not reading correctly, it overfuels a bit when the closed signal is not there.

Just check there is a circuit between the bottom 2 pins on the TPS first, thats whats important to get it started.
