Right guys as some of you may have spotted, I've been made the Ulster area Rep. I have some future plans for a couple of meets but to break me in gently I would like to invite you all to support and participate in the biggest grudge match of the year.

Honda Vrs Toyota is on the 3rd April. The lineup includes Drifting, Gymkhana and a rolling race (similare to 30-130) and of course drag racing!
http://sideways-racing.com/2011/02/...da-vs-toyota-grudge-match-full-drift-program/

There is a new class system in use this year, which means a standard or nearly standard GT/Glanza won't be in the same class as myself or Alan and the larger turboed/nitrous Hondas. What this basically means is, there are no excusses saying that your car won't be competative because it will!

Last year for every Toyota we were out numbered by about 5 Hondas, this year I would like to see things a little more even. There are alot of Toyotas out there and I'd guess alot of you are willing to race. Don't be letting nerves or being shy get in the way! You'll get a great buzz going up the strip.

I can have organised with Sideways racing club to let our club cars park up in the pits as a club, this should provide a nice safe enviroment for our members.

Right stick you names down, if your racing or spectating and a rough piece of info on your car.

I will be there no doubt, but Toyota are generally out numbered by Honda so they have strength in numbers. There will be runs in qualifing that slower cars are matched with faster cars but its luck of the draw and the guys at the line try to match cars up with cars of equal speed.

It doent matter but, its timed qualifying, if a Hyabusa turbo smokes you up the strip it makes no difference to your results, if anything sometimes I think a faster car helps you up the strip and you can get your fastest time getting beat!!!!

So come on lads, consider this for a day out. We dont get many meets these days and its great craic in the line ups and everyone form is usually good.

does this kick off at 11 ?

Drag practice starts at 11 but there is drifting on before the 1st practice and at intervals through the day. It usually takes about 20 minutes to register and get the car ready for runs so I will aim to be there at 10.30 or so. Usually travel down with Ted so by the time he gets off the wife and get out of bed we should be there about 11.30 lol.

This will run all day so if we were considering it a meet there will be spaces between sessions to gather together. I assume not all cars will enter so that means they would be split between the car park and competitiors parking. I think it would be to much for everyone to be down there for 9 and stay to the 7pm finish so what are your thoughts for meeting times/convoys/locations?

I think wee john i ll need a hand to get things sorted before i go down !!! lol

No problem lad.

Richie i said 9 was to early lol, for any day of the week never mind a Sunday lol. This is Mothers day as well so the breakfast in bed thing will need attended to also. Its a full days event, some will be there at different times than others so unless we keep it an open thing and keep an eye on the car park for groups arriving.

The drift top 16 run from 12 to 1, so people dont miss the drift finals and gynkhana, maybe we could all meet up about then for a few photos and a laugh. As I said the cars may be split in 2 car parks if they are not racing so to get them all together we will need to do something. most competitors will be there form 11, whatever time suits after that works for me lol.

How many people fancy entering, the drags, the gymkhana or the rolling starts????
