The problem was with the intercooler piping pressing against the dist cap. Was causing a bad spark. I cannot believe that it was such a small problem.

also, it would seem that the second pipe used to lead to the boost control unit. now it leads to nothing so i assume they have taken that off

its about a metre long that pipe and was running over towards where the dump valve is. It just attaches to nothing. Any idea on the second pipe? It comes off the fuel line, at the t-section.

Its a nightmare, the state of these pipes, covered in around 3 layers of heavy paint, having to grind them all down to get the paint off to test for leaks. Taking ages! Hopefully its a vac leak.
