Mine and my mates Ep82 dont have very good temp coming out of the heaters and they seem to cool down as well going over certain speed, you should start by checking your rad cap to see if there is pressure being built up by it, also need to check a couple of other things coz my rad cap is fine...

You could always put the boost gauge wires in the back of the cigarette lighter if you have long enough wires, thats what i did and the gauge light comes on when you turn the ignition. Then its on all the time day or night just as long as the ignition is turned.
