    Piston Rings

Just an update for anyone who might run into the same issue. The cheapest I could find a set of intake and exhaust valves and stem seals (OEM) was £489.35 imported from Japan through Torque GT. . Shame as they will take about a month to get here and I was all ready to go up for a track day.

    Piston Rings

It is just the one exhaust valve that is broken. Japservice parts have some however they arnt genuine and if I’m going to put the head back on with confidence I wanna be replacing all the valves and stem seals and for them to be genuine. I’ve been quoted £500 pounds for Valves and Seals to be...

    Piston Rings

I’ve just been quoted £650 for a set of valves from Toyota . I’m thinking now my best option is to look for a new head or at least some decent second hand valves. I will be doing the stem seals and a reseat.

Jap service parts do exhaust valves but not many. Would like to replace all the valves and stem seals but finding the parts it proving quite hard.

No luckily none at all. Must have been sucked straight into the exhaust!

What do you think could be the cause? The head was rebuilt and “port and polished” by the previous owner so I don’t know if that could play a factor?

Yeh I’m praying it’s rings. Can afford for it to be a cracked piston or a bore issue.

    Piston Rings

Hey everyone. So my car started to misfire the other day and after going through the usual checks we did a compression test and sure enough cylinder 3 was at 30. We suspect it’s probably just the piston rings that have shat themselves. First off what size is the bore? I’m assuming 74mm but not...

    AC Lines

I managed to get away with just the evaporator box but now that you say it, it probably would have made my life easier to do both

    AC Lines

Finally managed to get it out!!! There’s a stupid little 10mm nut right at the top of the box hidden away that’s as stopping me from getting it free. Looks so much better with the blanking grommet there

    AC Lines

Yeh I’ve got the blanking grommet all ready. I’ve managed to loosen up the air box behind the glovebox but can’t seem to get it out.

    AC Lines

Hey guys so I don’t know if this is the right section as it’s technically not engine but I’m having an issue working out how to remove the AC lines coming out of the bulk head. The previous owner removed the AC itself but I’m left with the plumbing’s. Has anyone got any idea how to remove these...
