Don't worry about what power figures you get, just make sure it runs safe. Doing your homework on what mods support what boost is fun, and will give you a better understanding of the car.

Some people prefer simplicity over in-depth tuning. Replacement ECU's are simple, plug in and go, and just as easily removed. As long as it has time to settle itself during the initial run-in period, I can't ever see a problem occurring (not like Blitz, JAM TOM's or Mine's just knocked them up...

Your best bet would be to hope that a nice person who's breaking their car can supply you with some. I doubt many people would feel happy at giving up information on their own car unless it's off to the Starlet graveyard...
