I tried 2.30 first. I still get the error message but pressed ok then got through to the following screens.
On the bottom right, the software still says OFFLINE. Does this mean its still not connecting?

Ah ok. I selected the 4efte engine code. Do I need to change the injector size to 295cc also.
I am guessing its working as when I hit apply it was asking me whether I wanted to save the file or export it to the greddy ecu?

again, i'm no expert here...as i dislike tuning and don't do it myself
however, from memory, when the laptop and the emu are hooked up and communicating via the cable, it will be making those changes in real time on the emu unit itself

take a quick look at this video for the initial cable and emu connection and messages
i get similar messages on my laptop when initially connecting and i think ONLINE as well in the bottom corner

somehow i get the feeling your laptop and emu are not communicating
do you have a different usb/printer cable you can try?

I'm the same. I know basics and enjoy the learning aspect of things, but for actual tuning, I leave to the pros.

Yes I have tried 2 cables so far.
I assume they are communicating as, when I made changes and hit apply, it asked me if I wanted to save the file or export it to the emu :)

unfortunately that does not mean they are communicating...that message can be seen offline
please check for the above metioned things "ONLINE" and communication msg on the initial link up---as seen in the video

You were absolutely right.
I connected it to the car earlier and as you said it was still appearing offline, and i couldn't export the changes to the ecu.

Apologies for the horizontal view.

A friend of mine has a windows XP laptop, so I will try it with that next.

I wanted to try the earlier versions of the software also, but I wasn't able to download them in the link you shared above for some reason.

i don't know what is wrong , but i do know something is not quite right as you have a laptop/emu connection problem

some fo those links may be old. so you never know

but i figured the lastest version software from greddy's website should have work too-----it doesn't seem like a software issue as you have tried 2 versions now, but who know?!?!

I will try the windows xp laptop in a ladt attempt. If that doesnt work I will be asking for a refund as I assume the unit isnt working.

Quick update.
I tried a windows 7 laptop earlier, install version 2.30 and it seems to communuicating now...software goes from offline to online when I turn the ignition on.
However I can't seem to figure out what parameters need to be reset to get the car to fire up?

i'm not much into computers, but i use an old Dell laptop with windows XP 32 bit to connect to emu via the usb port. I bought it specifically for this purpose and to make my life easy.

a while back i tried using a newer laptop with windows 8 (if i remember correctly at that time) and creating a partition based on some advice (again i'm not IT minded),,,i installed windows XP on the partition and then installed the emanage software....everything seemed good, but whenever i tried to connect to the emanage unit i got issues with the usb driver...there was no communication between the laptop and the emanage. Someone posted a tread recently on how to possibly rectify this.
I’m having the same issue atm, did u ever figure it out?

I just used an old windows 7 laptop in the end, put all the tables back to 0 and the car fired up first time.

I couldn't get the new laptop/software to work with the emu.
i have to use my old laptop with Windows XP 32 bit installed
Yes I have the windows xp 32 bit laptop but there’s no connection when I hook up the emu to the laptop. There’s no driver

oh I think I know what you are referring to now. I had that issue as well when I first installed emu software on the laptop.
now i can't remember the exact process, but i fiddled around with the usb driver settings to activate it
Try via the original "Program" to "Trust" file to the usb driver OR the laptop USB settings (open the control panel, then click device manager, then click the usb driver you seek), but I clicked on something after being frustrated and it worked

its in the original manual, but unfortunately that specific part its in Japanese; however, I was still able to follow the diagrams to try to match what the manual was indicating. it'll try to find it in my manual later on when i get home.

unfortunately, IT and electronics are not my specialty, but hopefully something above helps to solve your issue
