I've never had any issues with bog standard rtv sealant. Just make sure you apply it on clean, oil free surface and don't put too much on. Let it cure 24 hours and you should grand A little tip (which most rtv sealant packaging suggest anyway) is to nip up hand tight, leave for about an hour...

Thanks. Well I am going to try new lines to begin with as they are the original rubber ones, so they really could do with swapping out anyway. If that doesn't work, then I will get a new valve. Looks like a pig to access though :(

I assume these are a throw away item and can't be rebuilt? Any idea whether you can get new from anywhere? I thought they were pretty bullet proof???

Has the block been machined for those pistons specifically? If so and you trust their work, then you should be fine. You should check your rings gaps, but chances are they have gone in the bigger size of the tolerance anyway. If you are using the graded Toyota engine bearings then probably...

Most likely a gearbox issue which would require a strip and rebuild. Worth checking the engine mount is ok first though as could be an easier cheaper fix that way.

Vac lines look fine to me. Looks like the stock bov has just been pulled out to make it atmospheric. Someone has obviously done stuff on the cheap. Not sure why it is hitting 1bar unless there is a hole in the actuator vac lines or has an adjustable actuator perhaps? May be worth checking to...

I rebuilt my first rear calipers yesterday. Once you work out how it all comes apart, it's not a bad job. I rebuilt them with a genuine seal kit and everything fits a dream. I have found an aftermarket kit for half the price, so will see what they are like in comparison ;)

Thanks jay. I quite like the extra length, but can't find new ones anywhere :( May have to suck it up and get replacement normal length ones instead if no one has one kicking about.
