just in the middle of building my forged 5e, all is going fine, but worryed about oil pressure relief valve. do i shim it up with a small washer now? or do i put it together and see how it goes? i will have a gauge to keep an eye on pressure, but what sort of pressure am i looking for on first...

just had a call from the engineering shop to say the ross gudgeon pin dont fit in the scat rods. does the little end need a hone out so the pin just slips in, or does it need warming up and pressing in? need help asap, cheers :)

been thinking about what injectors to use on the 5e build. quick spec- ross flat tops 74.5 scat rods acl shells polished crank, then balanced ported head 1.9 head gasket standard cams cruise springs top mount gt2871r turbo 3" system hoping to run 2 bar what size injectors...

just bought the above turbo that has come with a iwg tail housing, but wanting to change this to ewg and just have the 4 bolt housing for the down pipe. Can anyone reccomend me a good quality housing? not sure on the size yet, il have to go have a look .

rite folks, time has come to build myself a proper engine. i blew the last standard engine up after its rebuild and not bothering with standard again. lol. i got hold of a 5e, and have now got myself forged pistons and rods from _shaun_ i have spent the last few nights going through...

can i re-use the crank from my engine that just threw a rod due to piston crumbling. just because it was polished and had new shells and its only done 500 mile till it went bang. the big end is still attached and in 1 piece. or is this risky?

finally got the gt back on the road after a long time rebuilding it and when i turn hard lock (left lock only) and drive its making a bad knocking sound and trys "tripping the car up" by snagging the wheel. So pulling out of a junction left, its snagging the steering wheel and making horrible...

went out in the starlet tonight and when i turn left, it makes a horrible noise and as if it trys locking up. only does it on left hand turns. just to make sure, would this be the left OUTER cv joint thats fooked?? everything sounds nice and goes ok in a straight line and right hand bends.

looking into making a short shifter for the 82. been doing some searching and also looked at the diy thread, but it only shows it lengthening the bottom of the gear stick (at a guess to shorten the forward /backwards movement) but also seen people making the rod on the side longer?! from...

cleaning the rear calipers and went to take out the bleed nipple (so its easyr to open when its fitted to the car) and it bloody snapped fliush in the caliper. i can probs get it out with a screw in extractor but wdoes any1 have a spare nipple? or is it a toyota jobby? also the rear disc...
