    Help need!! 5efte build!!

    1. They are more expensive 2. They have a higher wear rate than Wossner 4032 pistons 3. Louder when cold due to a larger pistons to bore clearance needed as they expand more 4032 alloy pistons are fine for what you need. Pick 2618 pistons if you are running BIG horsepower or maybe you decide...

Pros and cons on both. Check the grade of alloy they use. 4032 better wear characteristics, not as noisy when cold but not as strong. 2618 stronger, noisy when cold (not much though) higher wear rate.

What BHP and boost will you be running? CP and Wiseco use a diffferent grade of aluminium which is stronger than Wossner. So unless you're running 1000bhp Wossner will be fine.

    The 2020 Supra Leak

Probably down to cost lets be honest. I'd take a guess their focus is on hybrid, electric and hydrogen powered engines now.

    The 2020 Supra Leak

The fact it has a BMW engine kills it for me. The heart of the Supra is the engine, piss poor that Toyota decided to let BMW supply them with the engine.

Yes we know Taiho supply Toyota. But to find a Taiho dealer who sell the 3 different types of STD main and big end bearings we are struggling. If anyone can that would be a great find.

Pull the HT leads out and see if there is any water in there and also in the dizzy cap, I'm sure that will cure your problem.

Yes you can, but a lot of cranks are nitride coated which only penetrates so far into the metal. So if you re-grind them you can lose that hard nitride coating, which isn't ideal. I don't know if Toyota did nitride the 4efte cranks or not, but that's a general insight. If you can get away with...

What's difficult to understand? Toyota are the only ones who do 4 (I think it is) different STD sized bearings. No-one else offers that..only std / .25 and .50....what' hard to understand?

If you want to get the CORRECT journal oil clearance the only way is through Toyota. They are the only ones who supply the various STD sized bearings. If you are going to regrind the crank then yes, any .25mm will be fine as you can adjust the clearance when grinding.

Pointless. Toyota are the only ones who do the different sized STD bearings. All other manufacturers go for the middle sized STD bearings.
