What do you mean downgraded ;-) the engine I have been offered is minus the turbo,started,alt and out let manifold not sure about the inlet.i have access to an engine crane at work so if my boss will let me I am debating swapping engines.

Dont think it was the knock sensor,I have been offered a cheep galanza engine,would I be right in assuming this will be a straight swap for my starlet engine which is ep82 as apose to the new one being ep91?

HI Texx The oil leval is fine checked on the dip stick,I boosted it a few times on the way home and it was sluggish as hell,there is some white mayo on the inside of the oil cap. I think I have damaged the piston rings.
