Personally I would use exhaust paste, it works well and seals the system perfectly, just as long as the joint doesn't twist.

Which sensor are you talking about? The inlet air temp sensor is below (highlighted black) and wouldn't need to be removed when installing a FMIC??

Personally I think it's madness that you have to go through all that with a NEW manifold, skimming, bracing & cutting away the turbo and then there is still no gurantee it won't crack!? no matter how cheap I just can't personally understand it! Andrew
