I thought it would clear it too. The mounting points are part of the chassis and can't move, so there must be something wrong with the exhaust right? Should I take the heat-shield things off?

Over the weekend I fitted a Whiteline anti-lift kit and while I was there, I tried to fit a Whiteline lower arm bar. I bolted up one side, but when I tried to bolt the other the bolt holes wouldn't line up because the downpipe is in the way! The bar just hits against it. Can anyone help...

Bear in mind with the GTI6 that they are prone to premature cambelt wear and the whole engine has to be dropped out for replacement. As for the Xsara VTS they share the same 2.0 167bhp engine as the 6 but with a 5 speed box. OK if you can put up with how it looks! I'd go for a 306 XSI. They...

This is true. I switched from bell (part of Admiral) because they didn't insure the Glanza V. Two months later they now insure them and it works out £30 a month cheaper to be fully comp then my current policy which is TPFT. Gutted as my current insurer want £460 to cancel my policy!!!

That's the thing with coilovers, they're expensive to buy, and then I'll have to pay someone to set it up. But I suppose it would be nice to have the option to adjust. I might have to do some more thinking and possibly alot more saving!!

To be honest, I just don't see myself using the adjustability. I just want something I can bolt on that will work well for fast road use. I can't really be bothered with changing height/damping/camber etc. I've heard KYB do uprated aswell as standard replacement shocks. Anyone use these? Also...
