My Glanza is now up for sale, rather then paying out on getting the faults fixed I'm offering it here for a knocked down price of £2k ONO

If you can carry out the work yourself, you'll know it won't take much to put the faults right. If you need a garage to sort this out for you, I would budget on £700 or you could break the car and sell off the parts. I simply do not have the time to break it.

I'll do my best to include everything about the car

It's a 1996 on a P plate with 140,000 km on the clock. Well looked after with regular servicing and full history since I purchased it in May 2007. I have some history from the previous owner. Bought from York Distinctive Cars.

The bodywork has a few marks but in good over all condition, NO rust, but again in very good condition for a 1996 and looks stunning when it's cleaned and polished.

The car was fully serviced with oil changes to engine and gearbox, new oil filter, new plugs, new airfilter, uprated rear discs and pads, bearings, new rear shocks on it's last service back in August 2009 £££'s spent on this service. The current MOT runs out 4th of September 2010, it has 5 months tax on it.

Bad Bits:

The 4th runner on the head has blown and the manifold is starting to blow.

The gearbox occasionally crunches into 3rd, probably something like 1 in 100 gear changes, but other then that is fine.

  • Cigarette Lighter doesn't work.
  • Interior Light works when it wants.

The specifications of the car are listed below and since I've owned it I've spent near 3.5k alone on modifying it!

1.3 4EFTE
Toy Tuning Filter re-location kit - modified to fit behind drivers side wheel

what a low ono to you dude

and is it just the head thats cracked so would need a new cyclinder head

The head can be repaired by being welded or replaced with a second hand head at the cost of around £150 for a good second hand one plus the cost of fitting or if you capable of doing it yourself.

Ideally I'd like as close to 2k as possible, make me an offer.

In the wheels, turbo and intercooler there is 1k of worth alone in those 3 parts. The new tyres on the front haven't even covered a 1000 miles and just cost me £130 for 2 new Toyo Proxes T1-R

Is it driveable or would i need to get it on the back on the wagon?

It's more then driveable, I'm using it still as my daily driver.

I will be picking up a new car next wednesday / thursday and will be available anytime after that.

oh what turbos it go on it and it seems that them manifolds to me aint straight and pulls the threads out as this is common is it a cheap one from ebay just asking matey well i have a grand cash at the moment and id take it with out the wheels so i will be keeping an eye on it. and see how much more i can get.....

but a good 400 should totally fix this in parts if you know what your doing head 150,skim 40, pressure test 20, a good head gasket 100 cambelt kit 50 and coolants and a oil change as you would do when replacing a head

and just spoted 3rd gear chunches so would proberly need a gearbox or gears replacing

It has a Toy Tuning Hybrid CT9 Turbo fitted.

The manifold is indeed one I picked up on ebay to get me by about 3 months ago when my japspeed one failed too, now this has started to blow on the top weld.

If you can increase your offer of 1k minus the wheels I might be interested....

I appreciate that not everyone on here would want a glanza with a sound system and boot build, so if someone wants it without the following.

1. Head Unit & DVD player removed
2. Front Speakers removed
3. Mini Subs removed
4. Both amps removed
5. Boot Build removed

I would accept 1.5k no offers.

If someone wanted the head unit and dvd player left in for some sounds, I would do this for 1.6k no offers.

I feel a price of 1.5k is very much good value for money considering the worth of the modifications in the turbo, front mount and wheels alone + the new rear suspension, rear brakes and front tyres, all the whiteline parts fitted, the condition of the bodywork for it's age is excellent as well.
