Having worked in the antiques trade for a good few years, I can tell you that a coin with even only a circulation of 50,000 is very commom in collectable coins. In the future they will be worth peanuts. The money these are being sold for (if they ever get paid for them) is being paid by speculators who have no real knowledge of the subject.
Take Dane for example (No offence meant!) I doubt he knows much about collectable coins and how that market works, but because he's seen the hype and the values on ebay, he has just bought two 20p coins for £320. He needs to sell them ASAP because I fully expect them to be worth a lot less in a couple of months. So, soon ebay is flooded with them, they are not rare and nobody wants to buy them.

man u crazy haha. the thing is most coin collectors will get the coins now and so in a few years time the interest wont be the same as they collectors will already have them therefore bein worth alot less in the future then now

maybe so but there is defo money to be made in them the now as i write this there is one on ebay with a bid of £4700! and many more for £500, iam going to hold on to mine for a good few years and see what happens if it becomes worthless then big deal ill get over it lol on the other hand it may make a tidy profit no one knows, what iam thinking they dont seem to be so rare the now there all over ebay and there selling for small fortunes what about in 10, 20 even 30 years time i doubt they will be as many for sale and if thats the case then its possible a good profit can be made, there will always be new coin collectors wanting to add to there collection, i do like a gamble :p

*** also the one that went for £4700 had 46 bids iam pretty sure they were serious bidders and the person got the money 46 time wasters doesnt happen

I understand why people collect things i.e. coins, but why would would someone pay so much for a coin that's missing a date?

Imagine what the going rate would be if they'd accidentally put a moustache on the Queen, that would have bumped the price right up! :p

LOL i know matey but just look on ebay now and for the past week each one is selling for min 200 each. In fact lots of selling for 250+ each.

I know it sounds crazy but i will get the coins Tuesday and back on ebay they go lol not holding on to them.

I only need to sell each one for 160 to break even and that achieveable if things went wrong etc.

LOL. Your exact words were "I used to lose £220 a week" so obviously you're shit if you continuously lose money...gutted mate.

PS. PKR is for noobs. Pokerstars FTW. And no, I don't want to play you heads up as I have nothing to prove! You're the one losing £220 a week playing poker - I'd destroy you. Noob.
