Engine has 12cms clearance.
Gearbox has like 11cms clearance

Australian building code designs for vehicle clearance of 120mm min. providing that is at a point more than 900mm from the front of the car or more than 1200mm from the rear based on a car length of 5150mm. Practically speaking concretors are liberal minded creatures , near enough is good enough for them so if possible I would add 10mm extra clearance too keep them happy.

too late, Ive just found one of your old posts....makes interesting reading........

TheStarletGT ''Can someone explain to me why a modified boosted Celica GT4 could not beat me in a street race, im the king of the fuckin world now.

It was a toyota celica turbo, GT4 body shape etc, ST185 or 205, i have no idea which one, but let me tell you that it could not pass my monster Starlet GT untill i backed off and turned into a street. I have finally experienced a good street boost race, it was a very exciting feeling. Im like, fark, my GT would whoop that ass anyday. And i only got a 1.3, and that car is a 2.0.

The celica was a gret turbo slingshot aswell, it could not overtake me. Only when i backed off and he then suddenly drove into my lane infront as he passed me, alsmost like side swiping me just to say he won, won my ass.''

Yes thats indeed correct. Now, after doing homework about the versions of celica GT4, in my time of doing this conversion, the celica turbo i battled with was a ST165 type. I must admit that he was on my ass like a tick, so it was a very great experience seeing a fast gt4. Overall, the celica hauled bigtime, i believe i could not beat it for top end pull, i only got it at the start, but he did the rest.

And your point is what?

PS: I have a better performing engine than the ST165 and its in a 800Kg car and not a 1.5 tonne car, so yesh, i will reap rewards bigtime, have a good day everyone, i'm now ready to celebrate my creation. All the best in whatever you do.

TheStarletGT, are you using the standard management?
Don't you thing you will have a lot of trouble holding the car on the road with all that torque and light car?
What would be your guesstimate time on the 1/4 mile?
How was the process of making the gearbox links work?

1. Look in cardomain for all info..
2. Absolutely indeed, its expected with such setup.
3. For this standard setup, 12's-13's will be nice, . Dunno what it will do, time will tell, i wont be making any promises.
4. Check in car domain for info.

PS: If i still have the car in future, i intend to build the engine to approx 450-500+HP, so yeah, this is a monster in the making.
