My tuner did 2 4AGZE conversions in Corolla E10 and E11 but there is much more space under the bonnet than in EP91 :(

Well corolla's always had the option of 'A' series engines so it was always gonna fit without too much hassle, EP82/91 is a different matter tho....

True,corolla's dont have that issue abt engine mounts...i know quite a few people with black top engines in their corollas [AE100,AE111]...seen one last week...it was a supercharge engine..with some tweaking...
one word...SEX!

i cannot see any point in going to this extent of modification on a fwd car. Ask AdDaMan about 300+bhp in a starlet. You don't need to go into expensive engine conversions to get all the power you need. Not to mention spoiling the handleing of the car.

With stand alone ECU like f.e. AEM you can limit power on first gears. My friend got 370bhp in honda civic hatchback and belive me - this car handles very well. It's perfect for street.

i was thinking also more of the weight distribution. It's not the best to start with under steer will be a biatch on the assumption this is a heavier set up.
You could limit the power (traction control) but 300bhp sping every gear including 5th and the gear box maxes out somewhere round 160mph mark anyway.

It all depence on how you tune your ECU. I won't limit power by traction controll, but by lowering the boost in first two gears. It's also possible to limit boost in low rev. Understeering is a problem but it can be limited by LSD and a good suspension.
