4EFE engine weakpoints

Hi,

I would like to know what are the main weak points of the 4EFE engine are in comparison to a 4EFTE.

What parts can I swap from a 4efte, so I can turbo my 4efe as cheap as possible.

I know off the following parts:

- Wiring Loom,
- ECU
- CT9 turbo
- 4efte intake, manifold and downpipe.

I picked up an immaculate body for the glanza, no rust, no dents. But I need to turbo it in the future. I dont want to sell it, as im probably not gonna get my money back to be able to buy a V in the same condition.

imo mate, u should get a whole engine and drop it in there lol.

turboing the 4efe is gonna be more expensive than getting an engine.
for the story u will need all the above plus 4efte pistons and conrods, 4efte crank, 4efte cams, 4efte injectors, map sensor, radiator, oil sump (i think), and lots of other bits and bobs.

If an engine cost around €700-€800. Fitting it would probably be even more.
I need boost!
Maybe it would be better just buying a V, seeing the car prices dropped so much. But i'd get feck'oll for my N/A;( Damn.

yes it may cost that much but turboing the 4efe will cost more to be done properly.

so save up and get a good engine and drop it in there!

So what you guys think will be more cost effective.

- Dropping a 4efte,
- Sell my "S" and get a "V"?

well i dont know the prices the S or the V that are sold there but both a good and viable solutions mate.

its ur decision after all. i vote get a 4efte in there
