4efte corolla (ae100) - Driveshafts Question. Pls help

Hey guys, hope y'all are doing great. I have a 94 Toyota Corolla (Ae100) and I bought it with a 4efte swap already done to it, well that's one of the reasons I bought the car.
But some stuff are sketchy about the swap. The driveshaft has different thickness, like one is thinner than the other and also I think (from what I remember) that the side that goes to the trans was pulled out from the joint and welded inside and outside so that the length is a bit longer, but it's super sketchy.
What can I do? What proper shaft do I need?
Idk if I have a 4efte trans or 4efe trans but I know I have a LSD in there. I'm new to this, any help would be very appreciated.

Thanks, Rid1.IMG-8718.jpg

These suppose to be glanza driveshaft the shorter one is thinner. Haven't checked my own yet so can't confirm. One identification for the c56 gearbox(4efte) is the aluminum endcap. The oem lsd is a viscous one which mounts to the gearbox with different shafts. Other options are plate diffs and helical ones so if you have a lsd it must be one that is aftermarket, would at least check if you have one just to make sure.

hello, thanks for your reply. Are yours for a LSD gearbox?
so what I remember (because someone changed the cv joint for me due to lack of tools) he changed the CV joint on the short one then on the side where it connects to the gearbox, he had to weld back the bearing/inner cv joint to how it was before, because of the length. Before when I was turning my wheel completely, it was making like a grinding noise, that went away but now when I turn completely, it makes like a clicking noise, as if something is moving back and forth. Below is a pic of the new outer cv joint. That is the side where is sketchy welding stuff was done.IMG_9134.jpeg

Clicking sounds like a CV joint gone bad
Was thinking today, if your inner cup on the shaft is from the starlet box you may be able to put a Corolla shaft into it ?

from my memory, i could be wrong as this was along time ago when these swaps were popular, i think persons converting a starlet to a 16/20v 4age had to either cut the chassis leg by the gearbox (or "massage" it with heat/hammer) or adjust one of the drive shafts to make it work. May be things along that line apply to your project ?? just a random thought

hmm thanks for replying guys. tomorrow i'll jack the car up anyways, I'll take a pic on the gearbox and share it on here. yes clicking noise is from the right side and i didn't change the cv on that side. It's like a TAC-TAC sound when I turning completely or when I moving slowly with the wheel turned a bit and coming to a stop. I'll definitely get some pics tomorrow guys.

Also, off topic, when can cause this: so when lets say i'm in gear and I put the car in neutral then stop, just when I put it in neutral, idles drops to 700/750rpm then after about 5 seconds comes back to 1000/1100rpm...

I'm interested to see what they have did to your driveshaft bud
Starlet inner cup and the rest off the shaft to the hub from the Corolla maybe work for you :)

I asked a local dude who did the swap on one of his car before, he said he used the 4efe shaft, same length and everything.. I'll see.
also any answers to the idle issue? whats the cause?

was wondering that as well, will check it out later. Also read on another thread that battery might be causing this issue as well. will check my voltages as well.

Think there's two different splines, being honest you would be better to physically count the teeth to make sure you get the right one. Bit awkward but at least you will avoid any delays.

Yea 2 different inner teeth pitches on them bud, discovered that when I went to order a pair, need it out to count I was told :)

Hang on, might have misread that (it was early on).

We talking the inner joints or the inner spline count on the outer joint?

Thx for the replies guys
Inner cv joints, both the outer splines(the one that goes into the box) and the inner splines(the one which the axle goes in with the triangular joint thing)
I have a lsd box, and ae100 shafts
So need to ep82/91 outer splines and ae100 inner splines counta if that makes sense, ae100 count I can get it by counting.

also actual size of the inner cv would be nice, like length, width and height and diameter.

like in the picture, the picture is not for a 4efte box, just grabbed on google

Regards the outer joints it'll take you to count them to be 100% there's glanzas out there that have different types on each side (ie 23/30 on one side and 23/23 on the other) so its best to manually count them.

If you're stripping it down that far you may as well check the inners while you are there. Cant quite remember exactly but some inner joints are a smaller unit to the turbo so it could be either on a custom build.
