4efte front mount intercooler turbo lag

Just have the pipe adapter made by an exhaust shop.
As for lag, there is an actual chance it could be less. The 4EFTE came with an intake air temperature sensor.
So the ECU might add some extra timing in the map due to lower intake air temperature.
Yes that is what I end up doing. I drew the sealing off the pipe and went to get it done. It will go from 30 mm to 50 mm roght on a 90 silicone 501>61 in the straight aluminum pipe doen to the IC.

I never noticed any increase in lag(minimal anyway on ct9)when I put the front mount on, certainly noticed the gains in the midrange tho :)
Soon as it's back on the road its going straight back the same dyno to see what the changes from the 1st time make
I’m very curious to see the difference! :)

To show the extreme, my Auto GT has a really long pipe set up using a large Blitz intercooler, lag is more pronounced but once it's on song it's smiles all round.

I don't see how you could make the pipes any longer compared to this without cutting holes in the wings lol

I figure you should be fine!

I love the setup! Can’t wait to feel the difference. I gave the measures to the shop in order to produce the pipe that will go from 30 to 50 mm. It will go straight in 90° Junction Straight doen to the IC.

Do you know the inlet diameter? I don’t remember if it’s 50 mm.
