air maf sensor

im currently fitting the engine 4efte in a hyundai accent so do i need to fit map sensor in my induction box?

4efte dont use a maf sensor but map sensor.

this will be on the bulkhead of the half cut your going to get, you will use that. only takes a vacume line from the plenum.

I swapped the 4efte from a automatic Starlet Glanza V in a Corolla E11 with a 4efe. The engine check light is on and the diagnostics gave me error 22 and 42. My map sensor it is connected properly and I am trying to figure out what is causing the problem. I hope that you can help.

What harness and ECU did you use?
Everything that came from the Starlet Glanza V ep91 with automatic transmission. I swapped the engines and the only thing I kept is the Corolla gearbox. Mechanically it’s perfect. I’m changing the fuel pump on Wednesday because apparently the Corolla fuel pump is too small and it doesn’t keep fuel pressure in the rail.
Diagnostics gave me error 22 and 42. I bridged the automatic gearbox connector as the guy suggested. I still don’t know why the check light engine is on. Vacuum lines are complete besides the RPM compensation lines that have been terminated. I couldn’t use them because the Corolla doesn’t have a vacuum pump instead it has and insert on the steering pump. As I swapped the engines and I couldn’t keep the Corolla steering pump I had to terminate the two vacuum pipes.
What do you think?

The two issues are the RPM jumping and the check engine light on. I might be able to solve the RPM issue by changing a resistor in the cluster. I ran diagnostics and it gave me 22 and 42. The Corolla is a 2998 electronic ignition. The Starlet is a 1997 coil ignition. Can you help?

I swapped a a 4efe with a 4efte from a Glanza V ep91 AT in a Corolla E11 MT. The engine revs go up very well in every gear. Today I found out that the cuts ignition at 190 km/h. I don’t know why it happened. I just changed the fuel pump with a Walbro GSS 342 255 LPH.. Any idea why the engine cut power?

All JDM models have a 112mph speed limiter. Its built into the ecu.
I’m trying to figure out the Corolla taco input voltage. I’m having issues to match the starlet Glanza tacho output Voltage pulse with the 98 Corolla rpm tacho. The Corolla is a new generation electric ignition with dedicated ECU RPM pinout. The Starlet doesn’t have it and this is why the tacho goes nuts. Can you help?

Unfortunately not. I swapped the engine in the Corolla. I need to know the Starlet RPM output signal that is pin 4 on the first Ecu connector to be able to match it with the Corolla cluster tacho input.

Took a look through the ep91 manuals (not sure how close they are to the 4efte).

Is there a possibility of adapting a glanza tachometer to the corolla cluster? I found the remains of one from an automatic V in the stockpile earlier.

Thank you very much. I’m going to speak to my brother who came with it on oscilloscope and checked out the input and output pins on the ECU. The FTE tacho RPM output reaches 50 V. The Corolla input is a 5 V. He should be able to make a circuit with a filter to adopt it. I forwarded your post do you understand if the starlet automatic taco could be used in the Corolla cluster.
