Battery Leaking/Swollen

Hi guys,
More problems with my GT.
I noticed that my battery has swollen and is seaping liquid.
Yesterday, I had an coolant explosion in my engine bay, and hot coolany went over the battery and terminals etc.
The battery is only about 3 weeks old and was fine prior to yesterday.

Could the hot coolant have caused the above issues?

Return it and say nothing about the coolant spill and get a new 1 on warranty buddy
Most batteries carry a 3 year warranty

Haha. The thought crossed my mind mate. I'll head to Halfrauds in the morning and get a new one.

If it's leaking make sure to clean the battery acid off the engine bay. It'll strip the paint and allow corrosion to develop.

As much as I don't like Halfrauds. They're usually pretty good on warranty stuff.

Embarassing school boy error guys. I forgot to remove the transport bungs out of the battery before fitting it.

Thanks to fellow member and starlet Guru @dac69er for helping me get to the bottom of the issue.
Battery working fine now, with no issues.

Yeah man. Apparently they re fitted to new batteries, to stop them dripping liquid during transport/delivery.
