no harm in trying.. your going to mess with fueling only, and you got a wideband to monitor.. so its safe. and if it wont work fine, just unplug!

anyway.. my offer will be open for you. when you want it just let me know.

thanks my friend ;)! As i found the Blitz access ecu very gd and gave me gains compared to before but i want to take everything out of it especially at top end rev range so i can lean the mixture a bit at wot as its at low 10s as expected with the Access @ wot!

Any more input from users of a SAFC with these ecus welcome.........

also when using any model of Apexi safc with the Blitz Access ecu ,still the fuel pressure must remain as stock? im running 2.3bar (at idle) as stock right now with the sard adj. fpr.

I was told by a mate who had a toms tech ecu that when they adjusted his fpr to make it run in the 11-12 at full wot it was running rich at the lower end.

Basically it did make more power leaning it out but by adjusting it messed the fueling at the lower end/idle. And somehow this is not good ?He wasnt to sure either. Just knew it didnt work well!

I still love my jam ecu though. Well best buy!

!

so still ran rich at wot at top end when fp adjusted to run afrs of 11-12 ? and what was the fp setted to run 11-12 at wot? im running stock pressure of 2.3bar approx. and still at wot its in low 10s!

They made it leaner meaning they took fuel out at top end to get more horsepower but it was running rich at idle/low revs.

how can it be done that way? if it leaned at top end it must be leaned a bit too at low revs/idle or he was using such an safc? so he can choose at which rev range to lean and rich the mixture?

im not to sure, all he said was it doesnt work well. yes you get a better afr but its not 100% perfect.

it will not be perfect for sure but will improve for sure. I will consider an old school safc from apexi that's will be fine for me to alter some top end afrs to near 11s

nt really for now! i have a wideband and see from there its accurate (AEM uego controller) so can rely on it, till now with the ecu fitted and boost up to 0.95bar at 2.3bar fp, afrs are gd at idle 14.8-15.2 and decrease gradually with throttle as expected and low 10s at wot full boost.

you tried lowering the fpr ?

i would suggest using a 1:1 ratio regulator or the standard regulator with these ecus. the rrfpr's richen up too much with boost pressure, the map is already too rich for most setups.

Just though I would update as promised. Had the mines ecu running for about a month now, havnt had a chance to get it rr'd just to busy with college! What I have found is power delivery/overall power is immense:) Boost feels smoother rather then all coming in a big rush, if you get me? Motorway driving is sweet, found I can move into the fast lane in 5th gear at low revs and catch up with traffic no struggle at all! Fuel effieciency has taken a bit of a dive, think im getting about 20km less a tank. Also, fuleing down low is quite lean so can be a bit rough/hesitant in traffic but tbh its not overly annoying. Overall im delighted with it and 1 bar is awesome:)

great update so working fine:)

thnks for letting us know! seems ur going fine with it, i experienced the same with the access, worth the money :) whats ur afrs at idle, coming on boost and wot? and what fpr are u using?

today i lowered the boost to 0.9 bar at wot afrs were mid to high 10s, nt that bad but prefer to be in 11s, hopefully to use an safc in the future!

Well I havnt had it on the rollers and I dont have a wideband..silly I know:slap: Ill let you know more when I get it rolled. Next buy is an innovate wideband so if that comes first ill let you know from that.

fpr..standard mate! I heard that uprated fuel pumps and fprs interfere with the pre-programmed ecus?

Im playing it safe about 0.85bar with a bit of creep to 0.9bar, just for the moment until I get it checked.

On boost the ecu is definitly overfueling because coming off boost theres tonnes of pops and bangs as all the extra fuel gets burnt off! Had the odd flame is well:) Hows yours on boost?

edit: Ya, thinking of getting an safc to trim it higher up the rev range but not sure if that would conflict with the ecu. I plan on eventually piggy-backing with an emu and tidying up the fueling that way.
