Ricky will definately give it his best, hes a tough bastard and mayweather isnt a knock out fighter above lightweight! The only thing im worried about is the way mayweather took gatti apart who has a similiar hatton style. But then Jesus Chavez is very much like hatton and gave mayweather hell.

Hatton and Gatti are nothing alike!! I'm so sick of hearing this comparison! Gatti always was a mediocre fighter defensively, if you throw a right hand on target against him its almost guaranteed to land! Mayweather exploited that in impressive style, as did De La Hoya who normally doesn't throw them! And Alfonso Gomez smashed the Granny out of him too, ffs!

Gatti in the Mayweather was a sitting duck, he let Gayweather land four right hand leads in a row on him! Hatton on the other hand is arguably the best pressure fighter in boxing (alongside Miguel Cotto and Israel Vasquez) he closes the distance extremely fast, and is very strong and physical. I.E. He's a dirty holding MOFO. Anyways what im saying is, i see it as a 50-50ish fight and Hatton has a ton of attributes Gatti doesn't have (he's not defensively inept either) and that fight has no bearing on what will go down on December the 8th.

P.S. If anyone wants to know where they can get this fight for free and various others that the U.K. doesn't televise, drop me a U2U;)

Johnny, i know the style of gatti isnt exactly like hatton and as i said hatton is a better boxer than gatti but its just something to look at. Also have you seen the FMJ and Chavez fight? Tell me chavez doesnt have the same sort of pressure fighting style as Hatton!!!! heres the link to the fight.. http://youtube.com/watch?v=Fco0PmJX8bw

mayweather does win but it does take alot out of him and if hatton has that touch of class he might just go one better than chavez and beat mayweather! I can see flloyd learning from that chavez fight though and not getting involved in any inside fighting with hatton and just keeping his distance, even if it means running for 12 rounds!

Hatton will likely go into the ring as a heavy light welter/light welterweight which might help him alot rather than bloating upto welterweight.
