bumper exit

Has anyone made a front bumper exhaust pipe? and is it more hassle than it's worth, like using tracks and all that? thanks in advance!

Hi mate,

Yes it's been done before, the shorter pipe makes them a good performance mod. Sacha @ Wicked EP Racing used to offer them so you might want to hit him up on Facebook in case there's a bolt on option.

They are loud so some race tracks may not permit them, tbh the same can be said for some full length systems. Also be aware it might not pass government vehicle inspection in your region so that's a consideration.

(For example, if I remember right for UK MOT, exhausts are meant to exit the vehicle somewhere after the first set of wheels, but it can depend on how strict the tester is).

in addition to what Jay said, you can also get one made up at the local muffler shop, its relatively easy to do

you can use part of your existing downpipe and modify the routing to suit....or get a new flange and build a completely new system

I bought a cheap decat, cut it and span it round 90 degrees. I then bought a cheap short silencer and some 2" pipe and made one.
It wasn't too bad to make and did sound really good.

Mot tester didn't like it though. As jay said, it needs to exit further back than the driver. This is because any further forward and fumes could enter the car. Tbh, I never had any issues with that!!!
