Im selling the Glanza and I think im going to get a Corsa VXR (unless presueded otherwise) next.

What are your thoughts?

Ive currently got a 250bhp glanza, and do you think the Corsa will be like?

I wanted a newer car to the Glanza, but with some poke and scope for mods being turbo.

Im going to drive the Corsa tonight. What you reckon? Any other simular style/type cars to try out before buying the Corsa?

I'd say you would wish you had kept the glanza if you are running 250bhp.

They look nice though, but you would probably lose $$$$ buying one.

Nice upgrade. The interiors are lovely and in Arden blue they look very nice indeed. It won't be as quick as your Glanza but there is a huge range of aftermarket parts out there so It wouldn't take much to bump the BHP a bit.

speed wise my 190bhp gt keeps up with my friends corsa vxr with ease.

The seats arent that comfy i didnt think.

The arctic white corsa's looks lovely tho :)

there was a lad on the rtoc.org who had one.but he sold it as it was very expensive to tune up and a few other reasons(cant remember now)

must admit they do look very nice im sure theres a 300bhp package available for them now:drive:
the only reason i wouldnt buy one is because of how much money you could/will loose, you have deprication and then if you start throwing money at mods it all ads upto £££££

ok where to start engines aint the best piston 2 tends to go. Gearbox mounts are poo they invole alot of remaping which can be expensive from know garages but on the plus a 300break one is silly quick and they look awsome plus the interiors are awsome it like any car good points bad points

We have tuned one to 230bhp, with remap, NOS, induction kit, exhaust, etc.

Far more comfy to drive than a Starlet - if you're into that kind of thing.

some newer vauxhalls give bother with niggly stuff like sensors failing, electrical gremlins, be aware. main problem as i see it is the amount of better cars available for the ten to fifteen grand you would spend on one. buy a five year old evo

ive seen them crack pistons on a standard car. the vxr range is quite soft really bad for turbos, gearboxs breaking ect.

I think they are nice cars. Fast enough standard to upset a few people. Handle well too Remember, when you buy a car it doesn't have to be faster then the car you previously owned. Seems like too many people have that mentality. I think it would be a really nice upgrade especially if your looking for a little more class/comfort.

I test drove one just before I brought the CTR and thought that they were over priced, felt that the seats were too big for the interior and made me feel closterphobic, and interior was very "plastic looking". Think you could get far better car for similar money.

i think there a bit small and gay tbh...much rather an astra vxr than the corsa.
Love the seats though..

I was gunna buy a vxr corsa racing a few months ago, test drove that and the astra vxr but tbh I prefered the corsa a bit more nimble I felt. With a remap you can make good power and the pistons cracking has been rectified I believe. Also with a Remus centre section they sound the bullocks, a friend of mine has one and it wastes my other mates 198 Clio quite easily as standerd it keeps up with my starlet easily aswell an I'm running a bar on a hybrid!
